"Softly Summer"

Dressed for a festive summer garden party, Cissy wears a delightfully feminine gown. This one-of-a-kind ensemble uses silk charmeuse and Crepe de Chine. The dress fabric has yellow swirls and white-on-white satin swirls. The sash and hat "ribbon" is yellow Crepe de Chine. A petticoat of white Lycra with yellow and white tulle helps to add fullness to this very soft, drapey dress. The dress bodice is lined in white China silk. The back closure has three tiny yellow flower "buttons". Jewelry is a bright yellow tiger-eye necklace made by Heather Harstad and earrings using bright yellow "miracle" beads. Marsha Whitt crocheted the matching yellow and white bag. The large white straw hat is trimmed with the yellow silk "ribbon", pink, yellow & green silk flowers and yellow feathers. PerfectPattern #2017 was used in the construction of the dress with variations made to the skirt and sash lengths.
