"Ivory & Lilac"
This one-of-a-kind, early 1950's ensemble can be worn anywhere - perhaps a visit to the owner of one of the top studios to talk about a new role. This beautifully fitting dress is made from ivory raw silk for the skirt and cummerbund. The bodice and sashes are made with Italian pale lavender with ivory striped silk. The dress is fully lined in white dupioni silk. Pale lavender suedecloth has been used in the purse, pillbox hat, and flowers that accent the ensemble. The purse is trimmed with fabric flowers and pearls. The pillbox hat is trimmed with ivory braid, and a flower with pearl center. Ivory gloves, Kingstate shoes trimmed with flowers, and pearl jewelry completes this ensemble. The purse is made using PerfectPatterns "Classic Evening" pattern. The dress was constructed using Marsha Olson's PerfectPatterns #2008 pattern.
