"Cissy in Dior Petals"
Modeled by AA Cissy Barcelona®.This is an exquisite one-of-a-kind dress inspired by the 1951 Christian Dior Petals Dress design. The dress is made using gold satin for the bodice and underskirt, ivory chiffon with iridescent metallic streaks for the bodice band and 43 petals. Each petal has been entirely hand beaded with multi-layers of black tri-cut glass beads, iridescent gold lined glass beads, silver tri-cut beads, and iridescent sequins. The attached train and bow petals are beaded around the edges with layers of black tri-cut glass beads, iridescent gold lined glass beads, silver tri-cut beads, and iridescent sequins. The flower has scattered beads and sequins. Weeks of beading were required to complete this dress. The petticoat is gold organza with tulle ruffle trimmed with ivory and gold braid. The wrap is blond mink with gold satin lining adorned with a black, gold and rhinestone swirl from Marcia Friend. The hat is a vintage black velvet ribbon with beading and gold tulle added. Jewelry, made by Marsha Olson, consists of a Swarovski Austrian crystals, solid gold spacers, and gold/crystal rondels , Black suede shoes with gold base complete this stunning ensemble.
