"Day In The City"

One-of-a-kind, perfect attire for a spring or fall day devoted to shopping and lunch in the busy city. This is a circa 1950's attire. The coat is made from a multi-colored nubby silk, lined in aqualine (light teal) green dupioni silk. The cap-sleeved dress with a box-pleated skirt is made from the same dupioni silk. A wide cummerbund belt is matching ultrasuede. A pillbox hat and bag of matching ultrasuede; matching gloves; earrings, and black suede Kingstate pumps complete the ensemble. The pillbox hat has beads and gold crystals as trim with a vintage black feather. Marsha Olson's PerfectPatterns #2003 pattern was used in the construction of this ensemble.
