"Butterscotch Sundae"

Gene's one-of-a-kind ensemble includes a three-quarter-length sleeve jacket made from gold quilted satin. Extra rows of stitching were added to the fabric in order to make the quilting in scale. The jacket is lined in ivory dupioni silk with satin quilted lapels. The outer jacket and lapels have been beaded at each quilted intersection with a tri-cut gold bead (the beads actually contain a small amount of gold). The dress is made from ivory dupioni silk and beaded at the neckline, sleeves, and hipline with the same tri-cut gold beads and gold bugle beads. The bodice is lined. The ensemble includes a separate beaded belt, ivory gloves, a handbag with beading, and a pillbox hat that has beading, feathers and a vintage veil. Jewelry includes a beaded necklace, bracelet and earrings.
